.mix format?

Had a friend e-mail me a pic tonight. The attached file was .mix She uses windows, so I'm assuming that it's some kind of proprietary format for whatever program she's using. Preview:no go, GraphicConverter:no-go, Photoshop7:no-go, IE,Moz:no-go, QT:no-go, WMP:no-go. You get the point. I can probably just have her save it as a .jpg and send it to me again tomorrow, but I was just wondering if anyone knew anything about the format and if there was anything I can use to open it.
