2009 MBP backlit keyboard backlight voltage

Hi All,

 

I would like to know the voltage requirement for the 2009 MackBook Pro backlit keyboard LED backlight.

Is it DC or Inverted AC voltage?  I thought that LED's used DC voltage while EL wire/pads require an inverted AC current to illuminate properly.

 

I've searched and googled finding out just about everything, BUT the voltage required to light up the backlight.
