Trackpad gestures have stopped working!
Not all of them.
What I can do:
• I can still use Expose via a hot corner.
• Two finger scrolling works in Safari, Photo, iTunes the Finder as well as others (I don't have an exhaustive list)
• Tapping to click works (if that can be called a gesture)
• Two finger tapping works.
What doesn't work:
• Two finger scrolling in many applications does not work including Calendar, iPhoto (and now Photo Ap), Fantastical (again, not an exhaustive list).
• Zooming in and out on a web page or a photo no longer works.
• Smart Zoom no longer works.
• Rotating with two fingers no longer works.
• Three finger window drag doesn't work
• Swiping pages with two fingers no longer works.
• Mission Control by swiping up with three fingers no longer works.
• Pinching with thumb and three fingers to activate launchpad no longer works.
• Showing desktop by spreading out thumb and three fingers no longer works.
I've tried a basic restart.
I've unchecked those options in trackpad settings, restarted the machine and rechecked them. No luck with that.
This has gone on for the last four iterations of the Yosemite Beta and through today's update (over a month).
If it was a laptop, it would be no big deal, but I think that I'd see if anyone here could help me before I packed up this big ole iMac and hauled it in to the Apple store. I've bee to the Apple discussion forums and I see nobody else with this problem reporting in recently.
Does anyone have any ideas? In case someone thinks it's relevant, my machine is a Mid 2011 27 inch iMac, 3.4GHz i7, 8 gigs ram.
