iphone 8.3 and hyundai sonata software recall
My iphone (8.3) and my 2013 hyundai sonata had worked out a pretty good pairing. There have been some gaps in linkage, but lately, no problem.
Yesterday during routine maintenance, the dealership applied a software recall to correct problems in pairing. Since then, the pairing between my iphone and my car has been unreliable and intermittent. When it worked, I could make calls and hear my GPS app, but I could not play any of the music that is stored on my phone.
I did "forget this device" and then re-connected. (That took a lot of time to download contacts again, a real nuisance.) That helped with calls and GPS but not music. The next day, the pairing was brief and over within a minute.
I'm a little anxious about giving one of their mechanics my phone to try to fix this. My guess is that there's a bug in their software, since things were pretty good before I took the car in for the recall.
Any ideas or advice is more than welcome.
Thanks.
