iPod Alternatives...

Know of any good mp3 players that will work with Mac OS and have a nice amount of storage. Preferably removable? I was looking at this Sony Network Walkman but I don't see it mentioning anything about Mac OS. Any other good alternatives?

EDIT: Man I'm tired.

Nice but it's too bulky. I was looking for something smaller. Does anyone know about the network walkman working for Macs? What about MiniDisc players? Basically any mp3 player that's a bit more affordable and also something small.

The new NEO JUKEBOX 25IV is roughly the same size as the iPod, it is MacOS and can use any size 9mm laptop diskdrive( I have a 60G in mine ).

It interfaces as a USB harddrive, so you can store anything on it ( Only the audio files are selectable for playing ).

As with most things with a harddrive... Its not recommended for joggers or professional wrestlers.

Personally I am waiting for the new Archos multimedia player. It plays/records audio and video, can take still pictures with camera attachment, it can auto-download from SM or CF memory modules and the built in mic allows you to us it for dictation. It is slightly bigger than the iPod, but the extra features are worth the size difference.

    Keep on Rip'n

    Why not an iPod?

The price isn't that bad when you think about it, and firewire is MUCH faster than USB.

Plus, look at how much you would be spending for a device with 128 MB of storage.

why are you afraid of taking your iPod to school? keep it in your pocket or your locker if you are afraid of someone taking it...

Lol...the funny thing is, the smaller and more expensive something is...the more likely it will somehow get lost or stolen...I lose my cell phone (Nokia 8290) in my own house about every day that ends with "Y".

Nice try. The NEO is about 3 times the size of the iPod, and it uses USB, which annoyed me when I tried my friend's. (slow)
