Newegg opens Mac section
Newegg.com is one of the most popular internet retailers of computer hardware and accessories amongh PC enthusiasts. Known for their quick shipping and great customer support I personally have used them for several hundred dollars worth of parts to make several PCs as have my friends. I notice they recently opened a Mac section with components and accessories designed to work on Macs. Might check it out if you are doing price comparisons.

If I ever have to upgrade my G4 400 I'll have to check that out. Must be very new because I checked NewEgg this morning and there was no Mac section that I noticed.
Wow. I love NewEgg...great support, yadda yadda. They don't hesitate to drop way below MSRP, which is now a rarity these days.

Better than the 5 buck price drops most of the other Mac resellers throw at us...even if it is with free ram/printer/meida/blah.

They may want to take this effort more seriously if they want satisfied customers.
They have weird items in the PCI graphics card list...and they list the Radeon 8500 as a PCI card...

PCI Graphics? Evil!

Heh, Eskimo. Is that a hidden jab at Macintosh prices?

www.gotapex.com/deals.php and www.slickdeals.net for deals. I've never shopped at NewEgg, though...I almost bought a Seagate HDD from them, but Seagate said they would only issue rebates to drives purchased at certain stores...NewEgg wasn't one of them...I ended up buying my HDD from TigerDirect. I don't mind scouring for good deals. I almost always check NewEgg, but it seems I've always been able to find slightly better deals for the things I want at other merchants.

Nope, just a statement of how much money I've spent through them.

While it's very true if you do enough hunting around you can find parts cheaper at other stores in my experience you pay for those savings in what you lose in customer service if anything ever goes wrong with that part. The only place I've ever shoppped at online with better return policies that you can get great deals at has been dell.com . They've been having some awesome deals lately.
The other nice thing about Newegg at least on the PC side is that they have decent prices on all of their components. Which means if you are putting together an entire computer or ordering a lot of parts you can save on shipping by ordering from one central place rather than 4-5.
I've had great luck with Dell.com for random one-time deals. I buy my 2x DVD-Rs from Apple's education store. I buy from TigerDirect, CDW, Amazon, Zones...whereever. Lots of places have decent service...they all have deals from time to time.
slickdeals.net and gotapex.com do all the hunting for me.
