Macbook Pro 15" battery life comparison

Good day to you all.

 

I am going to be getting a Macbook Pro for video editing using Final Cut Pro.

So I am keen to get the top of the range one with the AMD Radeon R9 M370X for this purpose.

 

What I am wondering is how much this card will reduce battery life compared to one without?

 

Is it possible to disable the card to extend battery life?
