Ok, a while back on here someone posted some pics of some Pro Apple t-shirts.

One of them said something like, "bow down before me for I am root".

Can't find the shirts or the thread which discussed them.

Any help?

I don't remember them having much to do with Apple...

<a href="http://www.thinkgeek.com"; target="_blank">www.thinkgeek.com has an assortment of t-shirts for lifetime bachelors though, including that shirt

That's the shirt. You're right. Not really Apple related. No matter though.

It's a gift for a linux loving friend.

For though I may be root, i know not what I can do (yet).

    Thanks man.

It's a Unix geek accronym for Read The F*cking Manual.

What does RTF mean when referring to Steve Jobs' spinning of the amazingness of Apples new products? I've never been able to figure that out.

    Cosmo,

It's not RTF, it's RDF. RDF=Reality Distortion Field.

The RDF is Steve's special ability to make anyone within in think they need/want whatever it is he's showing them. To use in a sentence:

Steve's RDF failed when I saw the blue dalmation iMacs.

    Btw, that someone was I.

And, yes, it was Think Geek... because Geek is chic!

Ah. So, if someone=I and I=Starfleet X, then the t-shirt should read "bow before me, for Starfleet X is root" right?

    Thanks Starfleet.

Thanks a bunch! I've always wondered, like I said. Now I know...

The shirt part isn't the best part of the place, look at all the caffeinated junk they sell!

Actually, I wish their caffeinated soap wasn't so expensive because I'd like to give it a try. On the other hand, anything that helps wake me up in the morning might be worth the price.
