Who will by Attending MacWorld?
Well, it is that thyme of year again when a young Mac fanatic's fancy turns to one thing.....
MacWorld New YORK!!!
Well, who will be attending this year? Who won't? What will you be wearing and who will you be with?!
Naw, seriously though, who will be trekking to the J Centre to check out what is on the horizon for us all?
I know I will, and with bells on, or maybe just an iPod with a playlist of different bell mp3's
Anyone else?

Anything less than a price drops on each and every single product, free Jaguar updates for ALL OSX customers, Ghz notebooks and mutli-Ghz DP desktops (G5) with true DDR pro machines (Ti and PM) deserves to get booed off the stage.
No fake offs, no hiding behind "our hardworking design teams", no more bullshyt! Anything other than a modernized MoBo architecture and a doubling of CPU performance on the high-end (with at least a 50% boost through the mid range models) can only be seen as a total failure.
If they have the balls to announce sub-par specs or miniscule spec bumps at their typically inflated prices, then Steve deserves to be pelted into a coma with a barrage of busted (out of warrantee) iPods.
Funny, Matsu.

Otherwise I'll be a corporate bitch for someone out there, and I don't think I'll be able to score the 2 days off.
I'll be there as press... which means I get better seating at the keynote, and don't have to wait in line starting at 6am ;-)

really? cool! who do you work for, if you dont mind me asking?
i'll be there with the cheapy exhibition hall tix, unless my friend--whos running one of the booths there-- can get me free keynote tix.
cant stand the javits center though...
How about if i don't want to be able to see every single hair on Jobs' head, maybe, though, be able to distinguish his various body parts, what thyme then?
M3D Jack-you want to meet up to do the switch? It will be easyer for me then going into boston during orientation..check your PMs...
Dogcow-you want to catch a movie or something so i can meet you and hang out before school starts?--check your PMs...

If anyone wants to meet up when they're in NY contact me. I'd love to meet fellow AIers.
I'll be bringing some Podpacs to the early line up to give away and trying to find a distributor for them. If you've got an iPod and want a neat little cover for it, you might get one free in the Keynote line.
See you there!
I'll be there, but I'm wondering how tight the security will be at the Javitz Center. Will they let me carry around a bag? I'd like to be able to bring my PowerBook, but I'm not sure how the people at the Javitz Center will react this year.

i was there for the auto show recently, and they didnt check squat.
anyway, if im there i'll just look for a bunch of 13-15 year old and ask them if they're from AI.
Any other suggestions on where to stay? The Radisson Lexington, Metropolitan, Waldorf Astoria and Crowne Plaza Times Square are my top choices so far.
I plan on being in line around 5-5:30am for the keynote. Sure wish I could get into the VIP section...
Anyone else flying? What kind of ticket prices are you getting, and where are you flying into?
