got this email from apple:

6/13/2002

We appreciate your recent Apple Store order 7002998932. Due to an unexpected

supply delay, we are unable to ship your T4649LL/A, HP DESKJET 920C-USA by

the date you were originally quoted. Our goal is to ship your order within

the next 7 business days.



then i got this email in the same batch



Dear Apple Customer,



The following products shipped on 06/13/2002. Transit time will

depend upon whether you have chosen standard or premium freight

options. If your order is shipping standard freight, it should arrive

within 2 - 5 business days of shipment.

    That's kinda like what happened to my dad in 1995. He ordered a Performa 6115 from Apple and got a letter that it was backordered and would ship within a week. That night guess what came?



    And the funny thing is, the day after the Performa came, he got another backorder letter.
