Problem: IP connection keeps failing... help!

I have cable internet (Adelphia) and my connection keeps failing. It works like this: I have internet access for a few minutes, then suddenly I can't load any pages. I go into TCP/IP and switch from Ethernet to AOL Link Enhanced, save it, then switch back to Ethernet and save that... then I'm back on the Internet for another 2-10 minutes. Then another failure. I've reinstalled open transport and even updated to version 2.6 (from 2.5.2) but the problem keeps happening.



Could it be my ethernet card? Should I reintall OS 9? (That would be the very last resort, of course.)



Somebody... help!!!

    That happends to me when I use FTP. Do you have any webcam software of FTP stuff?



    Long shot, but worth a try. :cool:

    Are you using OS9? This happened to me once and I deleted to properties file for TCP/IP and then opened the TCP/IP control panel and reconfigured the settings. After that, it didn't happen any more.

    Adelphia filed for bankruptcy protection. Maybe they just don't care about you.

    Ooop. <a href="http://www.msnbc.com/news/771427.asp?0si=-?cp1=1"; target="_blank">Yes, I did.</a> Time for you to get another provider...I'm holding off for now myself. Looks like it'll be a long time coming when these products will be priced and serviced to my needs...
