Sales drop of Swiss watches in Hong Kong
The 40% drop in Swiss watch exports to Hong Kong is likely due to the recent drop in mainland Chinese shoppers. The mainland government has reduced the travel visas to Hong Kong by nearly 40% recently, after democracy protests in HK. This statistic should not have been used in the story. Many of my friends have Apple Watch and love them but otherwise the watch has not taken off in any significant way here in Hong Kong.
