Apple Shop at CompUSA Undergoes Major Overhaul

After a month up North in Canada I came home to Florida and decided to pay a visit to a nearby CompUSA in Sunrise. I was completely floored! After picking me up, the Apple employee told me that all CompUSA stores were undergoing the change. First, the display space is double what it was previously. The computers on the displays against the wall were on white lucite shelves with underlightling just like the Apple Stores. The color scheme was white, black and silver. Everything displayed was working. The software was now featured in three aisles of display with other stuff displayed against a wall. All in all a major improvement in looks from the previous incarnation of the "Apple Store within a store". I asked him what was coming on Tuesday but he said that "any new products will be here by Friday, so come back then".

    My local CompUSA hasn't gone through that change.

    I talked to an Apple rep here in KC well over a month ago and he hinted that our local store would be revamped and expanded...
