Just thinking if Apple does in fact think (like some of us do) that the G4 is a little old. Would that be a reason for calling the >new< G4's G5's? I don't know much about how they would in fact do this but wouldn't it just pack an incredible punch for Apple to do something like this? Or would the backlash from people who DO know that these G5's are nothing more than G4's with a twist be too much of a PR nightmare? I don't know if this has been discussed as I am quite new to these boards. Seems to me that if Apple can change the specs enough they can call their new systems whetever they want.
