When will Apple fix printing from OS X Mail?

I cannot understand the lack of publicity about a major problem with the Apple iMac – or rather with OS X.

When printing emails from OS X Mail, especially emails with graphics anywhere in the email, Mail will from time to time put a page break in the middle of a line of text, putting the top half of the line of on one page and the bottom of the line on another page (see image below)

This problem occurs whether printing to a physical printer or to pdf. Apple Care have told us that there is no way to prevent this problem, and that we will have to wait and see if it is fixed in a future version of the program...

In terms of the effect on any business which needs to examine email trails, it is very bad for the company image to provide unreadable documents, and in this day and age one should not be having to check output to see if the printer has messed up the output. It appears that OSX Mail has decided that the page break will come at exactly the place the page it wants to put it, irrespective of whether that chops a line in half or not. Even the old dot-Matrix printer I used in the 1970s put a line either on one page or another, but OS X Mail seems to be unable to do this.

This is not a hardware problem – it occurs when a file is printed to pdf as well.
