iPad mini smart keyboard?

I currently own an iPad mini 2 which I love for reading annotating my vast library of PDFs and Phd texts. I've been tempted by the new 9.7" iPad pro but think its probably too big for me - I love the paperback size of the mini. However, there are occasions when I'd like to be able to use it for typing up on. I don't know whether a smart keyboard for the mini would really be too small to be really usable. Do you think the mini will get an upgrade and a keyboard at a later date or do you think that will be for the Pro only?

    I've used the Zagg products with both the Mini 2 and later with my Mini 4. I can type fine on them and enjoy using it like a little laptop on occasion. I do not think there will be a Mini Pro.
