PowerMac G4 400

768mb RAM PC100

2 30gb drives (5400 rpm)

2X AGP rage 128 video

56K modem

DVD-ROM

Apple USB Keyboard

Microsoft Optical Mouse

This is my friend's computer he's trying to sell. He is looking for $1000, is this a realistic price to be asking?

I do believe NebagaKid is being terribly generous with that number too...

One good way to gauge value is to look at eBay. Search completed items in the advanced search field.

There are some G4/400s with DVD, 128MB RAM, and 20GB HD selling for $600-$800 ($800 buy it now price). But they don't include a keyboard, mouse, or OS, and of course they have the smaller drive and less RAM. I think $1000 is about the highest you could get, with $800 being maybe the lowest. It does include a keyboard, mouse, extra drive, and more RAM, after all.
