    Funny how that works... I never hear people talking about how HP is doomed, but somehow Apple's always "on the brink of extinction." So we aren't in really bad shape. I read yesterday that Macs account for 20% of all computers in operation today, because 79% of all Macs that were ever sold are still being used. This sometime in 1999, but it's still a good figure. So even though Macs are a small market share, there are still plenty out there.

    its a good thing we have financial analysts here at appleinsider who can tell how a company is doing based on its daily changes.

    Agreed stock price is not an accurate indicator of a companies performance, it is only an indicator of its percieved performance by the public. It is impossible to compare companies based on stock price alone. Other things need to be taken into consideration such as a companies market cap, capital structure, and fundamental ratios such as, ROA, ROE, P/CF, P/B, P/E, PEG, and P/S.
