iOS News App: Why is this advertising sham on my device???

This preloaded app from Apple, calling itself News, is nothing more than a tickle device to get people to purchase real news services, i.e. New York Times, Washington Post... etc; truly one of the most sickening market postures Apple has forced upon us!

    I use Apple News quite a lot and have never been prompted to purchase anything.
