How about quad-processors?

This is complete and pure speculation on my part, but I would like to hear the feasibility from the hardware gurus here, on the possibility of doing this in a desktop machine.

    Quad-processors are being discussed in some of the currently active PMG4/5 threads, please use one of these or one of the more general hardware speculation threads.
