Greetings. I'm a longtime Wintel User, but I've been addicted to Macs since I first used a G4 in COMPUSA. I love everything about the new Macs, The New iMacs are awsome, the new G4s just blew me away, and OS X is well....OSX, what more can be said about it? Macs are great! Well, to make a long story short, I was thinking about selling my car so I could get one of the new Dual G4 PowerMacs. Is it a worthwile trade, or should I keep my car and hope I win the lottery..lol. I am being quite serious here. Of, course this would mean bumming my roomate's car all the time to go to work, but it's worth it right? I really want to make the switch! I use Photoshop on the PC, but the Mac version is better, I use Painter on the PC, but the Mac version is better....In short I know that Macs are waaaay better than PCs, but I can't switch without this major sacrifice. Hell, i even prefer The Pro Mouse to any two button mouse,..(if it only had a scrollwheel, but Sony's taking care of that...lol)





Well, just my 2¢. Mac Rules!!!

    Yeah, Macs are great but I wouldn't sell a car just to get one.

    I sounds to me like you've already made your decision if youÕre asking total strangers for their opinion.



    No one asks a group of Mac users whether it was okay to sell a car in order to buy a computer unless he or she wanted to sell the car in the first place.



    It seems to me like you've already decided to sell your car and that you just want reassurance from us. Why else would you ask Mac users whether it was a good idea to buy a Mac?



    You knew the answer to that question before you even asked it. Whether or not you were aware of that fact is a different question entirely. Regardless, you've made your decision. Have fun with your new machine.

    I don't think you should go out and sell your car to get a mac but I would go as far as selling your current wintel machines for a start. Don't sell it and be with out a computer for a while save up some money than make up the extra by selling your current wintel machine. DO NOT SELL YOUR CAR. That car is helping you pay and buy the stuff you want a new Dual PM will not.
