Just thinking it might be nice to know which macs got -physically- wrecked and how. I wrecked my PowerBook 180 quite 'Dumb and Dumber'-wise: its head fell off. My beautiful Pismo I f***ed up by strapping it on my motorcycle and going for a helluva ride. How about youns?

As for the hard drive, that was a 20MB Miniscribe from an SE that died. I wanted to open the hard drive to see what the innards look like, but I didn't have the right screwdriver so I just hit it with a hammer until it cracked enough for me to pry the metal cover off. I spun the platters around a bit. Then I got bored. I don't remember where I put it; it was a few days ago.
FIX: Tap it against a table and i was even able to install OS X...works very prettly
worked for my digital camcorder when it acts up
technology always need a good bitch slap (IE: Back to the Future 1 when marty smakes his head on the delorean) <img src="graemlins/smokin.gif" border="0" alt="[Chilling]" />
I upgraded my 6300 to a 6400 (PCI slots, better architecture...), requiring a slight PSU modification (search for "Power Colour Classic" for details). However, I left one of the edge connector power pins loose, bending the power connector on the motherboard when I shoved it in. It stiff works: I fixed the connection with tinfoil and glue and it works largely fine today .
All I need now is a G3 l2 upgrade for a non-exorbitant price.
..gives me some incentive to buy a tower.
