would you expect that this means something new will be announced?

has he ever given a keynote at a major convention and NOT mention something new? Or do you expect that he'll just preach about jaguar and the new macs recently announced!!!

May be we'll see speed bumped Ti- an iBooks.

100MHz upgrade for the iBooks and a brand new 1GHz PowerBook with 2MB L3-cache.

    IMO, speed bumped iMacs won't come before MWSF. <img src="graemlins/bugeye.gif" border="0" alt="[Skeptical]" />

PS: And I forgot the brand new DVD-burner for the Ultimate Ti-book.

The answer to your question is that YES, Steve has been the keynote speaker at other Apple conventions and NOT introduced significant new pieces of hardware. And YES, the Mac diehards have been sorely disappointed when this has happened.
