What do you guys make of this "new g4"?
I was making my daily rounds at the sites I visit, and I came across this article on PixelMonger. The article isn't much good (I think), but a little ways down, on the left, they have a "picture" of the "new G4".
I have everything in quotes because I never trust anything until Steve says so (and it is too small to really look if it's real or not), But this site isn't a rumor site, which lends itself to more credibility than Spymac or MOSR.

Yes, it is. But the picture next to the paragraph is DEFINITELY NOT the current G4.
Here is the picture, to save you time.
It is also shown here on AI in a few other threads.
I think the guy who did it is even the one who posted it..

I've seen that picture before. It's a mock-up (inspired I believe by the Xserve) posted either here or over at the MacNN boards a few weeks ago.
This is dated info with using the g4 pic that has been circulating recently. That is not a real photo it's a photoshop job taken form the Xserve as a possible rendering of the new case.
Don't get excited, this is nothing real or important.
Someone should tell Yourdailymac.com to settle down. I just checked the site and they have a big headline about it.
Although I wouldn't mind something like that design. But personally, it has too many horizontal lines.
They probably think we still cant use "standard" PCI cards or only Mac-USB devices or something.
The Mac is just another computer running (now) a BDF UNIX-based OS. We even have forced file type extensions and the hilarity that cause just like everyone else!
We have more in common than ever before with our Wintel bretheren, except we can actually use our computers for more than games and downloading MP3s.
Okay a few things suck like no 5.1 sound and no ultra cheap hardware, but we can hold our own finally with OS X. The sluggish aspects of OS X should go away with real graphics acceleration and the tweaked Aqua UI (they removed alot of the drop shadowy-ness and translucency aka alpha masking).
I'd still use a Mac if it were still runnin OS 9.8, but that's just me.
My name is Nitride and I use a G4/450 with Mac OS X 10.1.5 for business, internet and software development.

Sadly not anymore
But yeah, look back like a couple weeks. There was a whole thread on that picture.
