Here are some AppleExpo Paris 2002 pre-show pics...

<a href="http://99mac.com/pics/appleexpo2002/index.htm"; target="_blank">http://99mac.com/pics/appleexpo2002/index.htm</a>;

One shot shows this strange hood-like object next to the keyboards there...and a stack of boxes on the left seem to show the same object...

What is that thang? <img src="confused.gif" border="0">

    It's the JBL Creature speakers. <a href="http://shop.store.yahoo.com/digitally-unique/creature.html"; target="_blank">Look here</a>

You can see the subwoofer under the desk.

They're also listed on the Apple site.

The cones are about the size of the old slot-load iMac speakers :o

In other words, if not for the little woofer, these speakers would sound like craaaaap.

NO webcast of Paris or Seybold for that matter. No new product being introduced, so who cares. Steve will show the Europeans all the recent hardware and go through his Jaguar presentation.

    what's this?

The flat things on the left of the Ti's. Too thin to be laptops, but they look like they're connected to something. Just interesting...

That is an interesting thing, because the TiBooks are opened, and these are not... I am guessing a tablet sorta thing., but it seems odd, they may just be closed TiBooks, but we cant see the seems because of the lack of detail

Wishful thinking..... Making a mountain out of a molehill. Seeing things that are not there....

Too thin to be a PC laptop

    Those are TiBooks.

You can even see the button release for the screen, and the lighter area in the midsection of the TiBook. They're just closed.

Jeez, you people can see something in nothing every damn time.

I was just having a little bit of fun. Everyone knows that if it were a new product, it wouldn't be out there on display.

There is a small clue as to what they are. The one on the left has an Apple Pro mouse attached.

Oh, and the wording PowerBook G4 on the boarding behind them
