Good price on an Xserve

well, i just found out i have an option to pick up and Xserve for the following prices.





$1,849 for the low end.



$2,789 for the fastest.



now the question is, would it be worth picking one up? does anyone here have one, how are you using it, and have you been happy with the performance you've gotten out of it?



i'm sorely tempted, and have to make up my mind fairly quickly here.

    For that cheap, you could get one and then resell it and make a nice profit...

    sorry, i should also mention that this would be an official purchase, and couldn't be resold.



    so i'd have to find a good reason to buy one, then convince the powers that be to pick one up. hence the questions on what people have been using them for, and if they're happy with them.

    If you don't have a rack to put it in, you could always make it into a nice little coffee table or ottoman.
