Advice on Cloud Backups for Photos and Computer

I've always been pretty good at backing up my machines and devices. I've only had a handful of complete hard drive/device failures in the past ten+ years, but when they've happened, I've been grateful for a solid backup to get me back to work quickly.

However, I've been wondering if I should be doing backups of my laptop via a cloud solution in case something should happen to both my machine and my backup drive, such as a flood, fire, burglary, etc. I am already looking at storing photos off site, so I was curious if there was a good backup service as well for my laptop. Here's what I need:

Photos:
This is pretty straightforward, because all I'm looking for is a dumping ground for older photos. We currently keep older photos on an external hard drive at our house to make room on my laptop, but that's not redundant because they only exist on one drive. We have Amazon Prime, so Amazon Photos seems like the most logical (and cheapest) solution. As far as I can tell, they don't compress the photos, and since I'm only dumping photos on there "just in case," features other than "Can I get to them one day when I need them?" don't really matter to me. However, if I'm missing something, I'd love to hear about it.

Off-site backup:
This is where it's confusing to me because of so many options. We back up regularly to an external drive via Time Machine, so we really don't need many features other than "Can I get my stuff back if my house floods or burns down?" We have less than 500GB on our drive at any time, and only 50 - 100GB when photos are taken out of consideration. What is the most solid solution for a Mac?
