What is jobs cough he always does at his keynote speeches. Not sure if this was ever talked about before (search hasn't worked for me lately)

Why does he do that?

Jobs may smoke weed, but that's not the reason he's always coughing.

The real reason is that his quad 2.5GHz G5 box makes so much heat that the plastic casing evaporates and gets into his lungs...sure he could ask for a metal case but he wouldn't want the PowerMac to look too sexy.

Maybe that's what happens when you talk for a long period of time? A little water here and there won't help too much.

Forget the cough. Look at him the past few keynotes when hell be sitting in front of his computer demoing something in X or a new iApp, and he shakes worse than my grandmother's vibrator. Is that parkisans or whatever? I feel terrible about it, seems our hero has a flaw after all.

No, the fact that he never gives out benchmark methodology is his biggest flaw. "This new and improved computer is twice as fast as the one before it based a on a photoshop test that can't be reproduced outside of our lab"

Ugh. Remember the Gil Amelio keynotes? nothing but facts, studies, benchmarks, yadda yadda. Real snooze-fests.

I just watched (OK, skimmed) the Paris keynote, and his coughs sound like simple throat-clearings, unless I missed a big coughing fit somewhere in there. as far as the shaking, you can't see it really from the QT videos. Seems like he just fidgets a lot, like his stage pacing.

That's why I prefer women to shave down below.

Initially I took each cough to be a signal to clap now, I've just said something worth an acknowledgement, but he does seem to do it far too often. Perhaps it's just become a habit. <img src="graemlins/hmmm.gif" border="0" alt="[Hmmm]" />
