Interesting oversight at Apple.com

I went to download iPhoto, and near the end of the page, there's a link to buy OS X 10.1 for $129. It has the picture of the blue 10.1 box.

Of course, it also lists built-in USB ports as being required for use...

A few of the button widgets in the Apple store are still Platinuim.

The Apple site is a mess at the moment: different fonts all over the place, a mix of Platinum and Aqua buttons, OS 7-style graphics, the rather unpleasant way the menu is in faux-fur in the OS X pages...

You think that's bad? Check out the various international Apple.com pages. There is a huge variety of mismatched graphics, fonts, and general layouts.

Some of the international sites still have content thats over a year old! And they really need to go through the whole site page by page and get it all updated and unified. I agree that it really is a mess right now.

Since it isn't directly related to OSX, I'm moving this thread to General Discussion.

I think it makes mods feel important to move and lock threads. I remember the last time i said something to this effect, a mod deleted the post.

    From the Posting Guidelines:

[quote]10. Moderators and administrators are members who have volunteered to help enforce the Posting Guidelines and the rules of the forums, and to help with the running of the site, by moving/locking threads, and dealing with problems as they arise. Posts from moderators and administrators do not contain the official views of AppleInsider, unless explicitly stated. Moderators' most visible functions are the locking and moving of threads. If your thread is locked, an explanation should be posted by the moderator who locked the thread as to why. If you feel the moderator who locked your thread has erred in locking it, email or private message the moderator or an administrator about it. Do not create a new thread protesting the lock, or a thread in Suggestions about it. If your thread is moved, the bulletin board software will automatically append a notice to the top of the thread page stating the forum which the thread has been moved to. Again, if you feel your thread was moved in error, please contact the moderator responsible, or an administrator via email or private message.

Read the last sentence. Send email or a PM, but stamping your foot in another thread or post is not a recognised route to getting anything done other than getting your post deleted or yourself banned.
