I was going to post this in Suggestions, but I thought it would get more attention from actual members in this forum.



Why not make an AppleInsider vCard packet for use with Jag's address book, with all members' names and personal information? That way, if we ever wanted to add anyone to our iChat lists, we could simply click "Add," and find them in our address book.



Perhaps this should wait until we're all cozy with vB and all (especially if data won't be carried over from UBB and many might change their usernames)... but, like Leonis has done with the community album, I would be glad to create this in my spare time and donate the "finished product," so to speak: an exported vCard "pack," which Jag allows to be conveniently dragged into users' address books, making our lives a bit easier.



So what do you say?

    Sounds like a good idea though, I guess. Also sounds like it would make it easier for stalkers to stalk. Ehh, not that anyone here is a stalker... <img src="graemlins/hmmm.gif" border="0" alt="[Hmmm]" />

    Lets see what this would consist of: over 6000 names and emails in one convenient format. Very easy for a spammer to use. We would need someway to prevent this address book from being used for spam.

    I'll make it so spammers can't use it, but I will need 400men, 200women, 4dogs, 4ships, and 400gallons of vodka!
