Apple Store in KC?

I heard over at Ars that there may be a Apple Store here in the KC area (in Mission?)...



Can anyone fill me in on this? I heard that NPR reported this info, but I did not hear it personally.



Anyone confirm please?

    NO APPLE STORE IN KC: FALSE ALARM





    MacHardware (a local VAR) had a sponsor message on the radio today saying they were opening a new store in downtown Mission at the martway shops.

    Martway is a dumpy area. I'd guess Apple would go into the Plaza or Leawood-Town Center (ugh), though I can't see how there is enough consumer Mac business in KC to support it. Lots of publishing companies, but not many soho users...

    Many of you may know MacHardware because of the trendy product they sell online and in mag ads- those G4 speaker grilles. MacHardware is a cool company. Nice people and good techs.
