First public betas of Apple's iOS 10.2.1, macOS Sierra 10.12.3 supplied to testers
Registered members of Apple's public beta program can now access their first builds of iOS 10.2.1 and macOS Sierra 10.12.3, one day after they were provided to developers.
Upon releasing the new Sierra and iOS builds, Apple did not provide testers with any areas of focus. As such, it's unknown what changes are featured in the updates.
However, given the point-zero-one release numbers, it's unlikely that the updates feature many --?if any --?user-facing changes. Such minor updates are typically issued to squash bugs and patch security holes.
Developers were first in the public to get their hands on iOS 10.2.1 and macOS 10.12.3 on Wednesday. A beta of tvOS 10.1.1 was also provided to developers, but the tvOS platform is not included in Apple's public beta program.
Earlier this week, everyone was given access to the final releases of iOS 10.2, macOS 10.12.2, and tvOS 10.1. An update for the Apple Watch, in the form of watchOS 3.1.1, was also released earlier this week, but Apple subsequently pulled the software after it was discovered that attempts to install it could "brick" some devices.
