12.9" iPad Pro on backorder through Verizon until 3/31/17 and no available through AT&T

The 12.9 inch iPad Pro was listed as sold out on both sites.  As of today, it switched to being on backorder until 3/31/17 on Verizon's site and was removed completely from AT&Ts website.   Is this indicative that an update is coming soon?

    I dunno....Verizon had the Silver 128 gig iPad Pro available immediately to order available yesterday...only to sell out again by today.  Which is disappointing.
