iphone 6 plus touch disease in brand new phone

I am so annoyed. I had a 6plus with touch disease so I took it in to an Apple store and paid $149 for a repair. They didn't repair it though, they just replaced it. I took it to Verizon, had it connected, took it home and put it on the charger, and two hours later, this supposedly brand new phone, having never been dropped or even handled roughly, now has touch disease. I am very unhappy. Now I have to go back to the Apple Store AND to Verizon. And what if Apple just gives me another phone with touch disease??

The $149 blanket repair programme will probably backfire on them. If the phone shows no evidence of repeated drops and the user affirms it has never suffered any, Apple cannot argue that that is the case unless it can prove it in some way. AFAIK, they can't.

You are not the only person claiming out of the box touch disease.

And swapping new phones for reconditioned ones , (if that's what you got) is a practice I frown on. I believe refurbished phones should be sold as such, and discounted, and not used in other areas as a final solution.
