Certainly this will be appealed, but not a good outcome for Mark Zuckerberg:

    So $500M verdict, then after all the appeals they end up paying what? $100M-200M maybe? Given the charges were not simply dropped, it seems like they will probably get what they want by the time this is all said and done.

    Still, Oculus sure did prove to be an expensive venture for Facebook.

    Indeed. Plus Oculus isn't even an AR product, which arguably has a far better chance at breaking into mainstream acceptance.
