Currebt Powermacs EOL ( at least in Europe)
A lot of movement on this today on whether they are EOL or not especially on:

Update : Several Apple resellers in Europe confirmed that they were not able to order PowerMacs from Apple anymore. This is also confirmed by the French website MacBidouille.

Well we don't know if the PowerMacs can be considered as "officially" EOL'd, but whenever resellers cannot order them anymore, it looks like they are.....
Update 2 : Misha, from MacMinute just told us that US dealers could still order the PowerMacs from Ingram, and that they have plenty....
Update 3 : Other European sites, such as MacPlus, are now confirming that the PowerMacs have the EOL status (at least in Europe...). Resellers can still order them from Ingram or Tech Data, which still have some in stock, but not from Apple.

Seriously - EOL just means they are not getting any more shipped to them. They apparently have a large stock which they will try to sell off. If it really is a large stock, it could be years before new ones are introduced.

Interesting. I think everyone is being played by Apple. They have EOLed the PowerMacs in Europe. They have a few distributors still in USA because on their "Crystal Clear" deal, and to keep everyone guessing.
17" iMac == iWalk
Understand this, Apple will not release a new iMac that will not only cannabalize sales for the 15" iMac (that is already selling poorly) and also the PowerMacs.
As for waiting to sell out powermacs before they introduce new ones, it doesn't fly. Especially if people aren't buying because they are waiting for a better product. Releasing the better product (DDR g4) and taking a small loss (4 billion bank account, remember?) makes more sense than not releasing it and waiting for people to buy something inferior, which will send people switching allright - to AMD and intel.
So I'll say it again. There will be DDR g4s at MWNY
This obviously means that there will be new Power Macs - but they'll only be available in Europe. You steeenkin' Americans will have to stick with the current QS PM's for the rest of your lives! Mwahahaha!
Speaking to an Apple stockist in Europe they also had some interesting news on iBook stocks also being run down and most probably EOL also. Interesting though a small bump would not be unexpected.
