how long can you resist...?
Press Apple+Alt+Ctrl+ 8 or * (works in Jag only)
Behold the magic
If it doesn't work, go to System Preferences and choose Universal Access.
Its funky at first... and I've managed to use OS X like this for aabout 2 hours.
Hehe, if you want a whole new meaning to gaming, try fire up some games (like Quake 3) and play it this way. Drives you nuts

absolutely useless feature, if u ask me.......
for a moment, i was scared. For anyone who tried, pessing the same keys will bring the colour back to yr screen.

not all that cool, IMO.
blacklight is better.
oh yeah, and if it's getting dark and your don't want your screen so bright, there's always the dimming button....
is this supposed to work in sunlight or something?

Useless? Are you guys retarded? I guess you guys never work in low light... don't create arguments based on the great lighting in your room- this is meant for portables, which see all types of light conditions. This is great in a lecture hall as lights go down for slides.

The only reason to dim the screen is if the light was disturbing, which I've rarely found to be the case and in which case you don't need this feature to do so. If you can't see the text it is always possible to adjust the contrast levels on the area you're working on.
That said I've always found the most annoying thing in seminars is the sound from people trying to tap away on computers. Hence why most people still resort to tape recorders and/or a notepad.
I guess in the end maybe my study is too well lit though and I don't attend enough seminars or lectures
