What is going on here and why isn't Apple legal all over this?

    1. No Pictures

    2. If Apple sends MSNBC and CNet cease and desist letters they will tell Apple to go amuse themselves

Apple Legal isn't "all over this" because they don't have a legal leg to stand on; Apple PR (the actual force behind the press pass denials, apparently) isn't doing anything because MSNBC, like CNet and ZDNet, is big enough to tell them where to stick their complaint, and because they're big enough that Apple wants them covering MacWorld more than they don't want them printing rumors.

    Simple as that.
