Mac got 5% of google hits in september 2002 up from 4%

mac got 5% of google hits up from 4% every months before.

does this mean mac are up in net presence?

does this presage a surge in market share?

    Most likely a surge in internet usage not marketshare yet... you have to look at the reports of what output other PC OEM are doing for last quarter.



    Apple shipped how many Macintosh units? 700K+ What did Dell, IBM, and others do? That's a hard number to grab too, because so many people build their boxes.



    I like to think Apple is gaining marketshare. They are gaining "Mind"share right now. More people that I speak with are more aware of Apple and their products.

    well, programs like shadow google also make it a lot easier for OSX users to use google. now that i have that running, i'm hitting google up all the time for information, some of which i would have just ignored before.

    Um no. If you look at the link the guy provided it shows the "Operating System Used to Access Google" not the word typed in the search bar. The Mac OS used that touched the google site is at 5%.

    I used to use Yahoo! a lot but just said **** it...the front page is getting more and more bloated when all I really need is a search engine...exactly what Google is. And their front page is fast and simple.
