Apple switch stories - international oddities (or copywrite lazyness)??
I was having a look on the Apple switch stories - of the international Apple sites.
Those Japanese have their own switch stories in the quicktime movies (they look funny, have a look). So i thought that also most of the European sites would have something similar... well.. didn't look it.
It looks a bit more like lazyness of the copywriter..
ok might give headache for you speaking only english.. i jsut ask *why* didnt they take any *real* stories of each country??
For me all these look like exactly the same stories..

Amico UNIX
Ho acquistato da poco il mio primo Mac, un iBook 14Â?, e mi trovo benissimo. Mi occupo di web development e ho usato vari Unix più o meno per 10 anni. Ho sempre dovuto Â?risparmiareÂ? metÃ* del disco rigido per far girare Office, così la mia ragazza poteva navigare in Internet e usare anche lei il computer.
OS X mi ha solleticato fin dall�inizio, e devo dire che Apple ha fatto un lavoro spettacolare e ha creato qualcosa che non avrei mai creduto possibile: una versione di Unix che può usare anche la mia ragazza.

Hace poco que he comprado mi primer Mac, un iBook de 14 pulgadas, y me encanta. Me dedico al desarrollo web y he estado usando varios Unix durante unos 10 años. Hasta ahora, siempre tenÃ*a que guardarme la mitad del disco duro para usar el Office y que mi novia navegase por la web e hiciese su trabajo.
Estuve echando un ojo al OS X desde que lo presentaron, y tengo que decir que Apple ha hecho un trabajo espectacular creando algo que antes me hubiera parecido imposible: una máquina Unix que mi novia puede usar.

Ich habe mir kürzlich meinen ersten Mac gekauft - ein iBook mit 14'' Bildschirm, und ich bin wirklich begeistert. Ich bin im Bereich der Web-Entwicklung tätig und habe in den letzten 10 Jahren verschiedene Unices verwendet. Wenn ich Office verwenden wollte oder meine Freundin an meinem Rechner im Internet surfen oder arbeiten wollte, musste ich immer erst meine halbe Festplatte sichern.
Mac OS X hat mich von Anfang an interessiert, und ich muss wirklich sagen, dass Apple das geschafft hat, was ich nie für möglich gehalten habe ... ein UNIX Programm zu entwickeln, mit dem auch meine Freundin umgehen kann.

Dernièrement, j�ai fait l�acquisition de mon premier Mac � un iBook 14� que j�adore. Passionné par le développement Web, je pianote entre plusieurs versions d�Unix depuis une dizaine d�années. Il m�a toujours fallu sauvegarder la moitié du contenu de mon disque dur pour pouvoir faire tourner Office et laisser ma copine naviguer sur le Web et réaliser ses travaux.

Ostin taannoin ensimmäisen Macini. Se on 14-tuumainen iBook, ja olen aivan myyty. Teen web-kehitystyötä, ja olen käyttänyt monenlaisia Unix-ratkaisuja viimeisen 10 vuoden aikana. Tähän asti minun on aina täytynyt jättää puolet kovalevystä tyhjäksi, jotta voisin pyörittää Officea ja päästää tyttöystäväni käyttämään web-selainta ja tekemään omia töitään.
Olen seurannut OS X:n kehitystä sen julkaisusta lähtien ja täytyy sanoa, että Apple on tehnyt uskomattoman työn luomalla jotakin, jota olen pitänyt mahdottomana - Unixin, jota tyttöystävänikin voi käyttää.

i'm sure they would have find 10 nice stories for each country. i wanted to see if there were stories of italian, spanish etc switchers but oh no, the stories are the same. <img src="graemlins/oyvey.gif" border="0" alt="[No]" />
c'mon?? "i like my mac because bla bla bla.." - mr T.E, 40 yeaas, Naples, Italy or something like that. so where are these that are all in the international sites, stories coming from?? soryy but they 200 % loose the credibilty when i start to think that it's the exactly same text and testimony in all languages...
apple, that's not the way to market to europeans.
do some small spots, 3 or 4 small, in each country - real people telling their story. like the 50 years old japanese woman of the japan switches - i don't understand japanese but it looks cool and credible when the computers conquist all kind of people, of age, sex etc etc etc.
at least.. one uk/ire campaing, one german speaking, one in italian, one in spanish (that could work in south america too).. in portuguese there was nothing ? one in "brasilian" (to be used in europe), something in italian.. and one for the scandis (with one of each language of theirs??) .. and i believe they reading still THOSE stories wont work..
