Hard Drive Compatibility

Do you guys know of any reason I couldn't take a 6 GB hard drive out of a Rev. C or D iMac and switch it into my ancient Rev. B.



I just happen to have come by a Rev. C with a burned out processor and a totally ok hard drive. If I don't snatch it, the drive will be going to scrap.

    No, I would think it should work.



    Both are 3.5 inch drives, and I doubt they're proprietary in any way.

    You could put an 80 GB drive in that machine, and everything would work fine.
