Steve won't be going, it's not an Apple organised event even.

Looking forward to it though! Apple hasn't been back for years, only week and half to go!

I had forgot about InDesign 2.0

I use 1.5 exclusivly now for page layout. I love the pure type control! Respect to the dev team... I hope I will be able to continue to use it indefinatly...

Got my ticket for Mac Expo today also

Time to play with iPod and X ?

Should be kind of 'geeky' fun.

Yeah, I got my ticket today as well. My mate and I are taking a half day on Friday to go to the thing. We both went to MacWorld in New York in 2000 and loved it (the debut of the cube). I recall us being under-impressed by the cube, but totally in love with the 101 peripherals and upgrades on display.

My powerbook just died. I am hoping to find a reputable repair company at the expo ... who knows???

Some people have all the luck!

Looking forward to giving it a go, I use ID1.52 whenever I can now, just use Pagemaker/Quark when editing previously built jobs.

Quick question: is it any quicker? You know the times I'm waiting for all the elements to re-draw is frustrating.

How do you get on this beta programme anyway?

InDesign 2.0 is going to have transparency built in ? Can anyone confirm this. What about the ability to edit photoshop files with layers intact ?

othello: did you already try the new table editor in ID2? Is it now possible to span bigger tables (say 3000 lines and 10 columns) over several pages?

    thx

I have to be in London on the 22nd for another reason and so may check out the show briefly if I can manage to squeeze it in. I have never been to a Mac expo before...

    Don't bother.

I went to the Digital Media Show in London on the 15th and have been to most Mac shows in the Uk over the last decade. Apple doesn't even know that the Uk exists. The government is so far in league with Microsoft (most government initiatives regarding technology are Windows exclusive and trying to buy a mac for education could result in you being stoned to death in the street) that Apple will eventually have no market whatsoever in the UK

You will see nothing that you can't find in Macworld magazine.

    Thanx
