I have the latest Flash Player, yet I keep getting asked to upgrade and the site doesn't open. How do I solve this problem?

You’re sure it’s the latest? Do you use Safari? Check Preferences/Security/Plug-in Settings for the exact version number (should be 25.0.0.171). They’ve been really annoying as of late and update their 25.0.0.XXX segment frequently, and Apple has disabled several of those numbers due to lack of security.

I only have it installed so that my Firefox install can download the rare SWF I want. I do all my playing using the Projector app.

Most instances of some website asking you to "upgrade Flash" are trying to install malware, not Flash Player. (Arguably, given its numerous and frequent security issues, Adobe Flash Player IS itself malware.)

Download and run the free version of Malwarebytes from here: https://www.malwarebytes.com

just to make sure you haven't already installed something nasty.

Thanks. Malwarebytes found two nasties and eliminated them.

Yes, I have 25.0.0.171, but I still get requests to upgrade.  Can you lead me to the specific Projector app you use? When I google Projector, I get a bunch of sites that don't seem to apply.

I grab a new version of the underlined file here every once in a while.
