Sony Camcorder

I was interested in buying a Sony camcorder, probably the digital 8 model DCR-TRV240 or the DCR-TRV340. Does anyone know if this is compatible with imovie, it's not on the list that Apple supplies on there web site. If anyone has any info on this I would appreciate it if you let know if it works and how you like it. I'd also like some feed back on other Sony camcorders, digital 8 as well as mini DV.
