6 pin - 4 pin Firewire cables

Hey,

Anybody have any info on 4 pin - 6 pin firewire cables? I need one for my digital camcorder and I don't understand the price differences. Other than the lenth of the cable why should the prices vary so much. I've seen a 6ft cable for $14.95 and ones as much as $99.00.

Any info on this would be greatly appreciated.

    I don't know about $15 6' 6-4 pin FireWire cables, but You shouldn't need to pay more than $30 (Apple's price) for a 6-foot cable. I bought a 15 footer from Radio Shack for about $40.

    Wow, and I thought computer stuff was supposed to be cheap in the US - I paid like $5 for my 6" 6to4 FW cable back in Germany at a local computer store, and it works flawlessly.

    buy.com m has the best prices on cables - period.



    I bought my 6/4 FW cable there, like $8 - even gold connectors.
