Intel Cannonlake set for Late 2017 release! (From Intel Q3 2017 Earnings Report) (MacBook Pro 2018)
The 2018 MacBook Pro should be getting the Cannonlake processor sooner than thought! This may mean that the 2018 MacBook Pro can be released in the earlier part of the year, as Apple is a vital client of Intel's.
"We're on track to ship our first low-volume 10-nanometer part by the end of the year. That will be followed by the initial ramp in the first half of 2018, with both high volume and system availability in the second half of 2018."
The 10-nanometre process is the Cannonlake chipset from Intel.
With it, the 2018 MacBook Pro should be capable of 32GB of LPDDR4 RAM and reasonable battery life.
