Display is bad?

Hey hey,

Just got my new iBook 800 a few days ago... And it seems like it has a darker spot on the lower half of the screen right about the middle. Is this normal? Something with the way the backlighting is set up? Or is this something for me to go whining to my nearest apple store about? Any help or insight is appreciated! <img src="confused.gif" border="0">

    also try with the lights off, not often but depending on the type of light, lcd screens can not look as good as the rest of the screen...picture would be nice...with the lights off non the less so we can see the screen...heck at night would be good too, haha

    I wondered if it's the shadow from his head, caused by a strong backlight elsewhere in the room.

    ::grins:: No shadow from my head, but yeah - when I get home tonight I'll see if I can get a picture of it... it almost looks like an old TV as its going out.. usually a corner gets a little discoloration except in this case its not discoloration, it's darker. Maybe I'm just being paranoid though. We shall see!
