Apple issues second public betas of iOS 11.2.5 & tvOS 11.2.5

Hot on the heels of its latest developer seeds, Apple on Wednesday released second public betas of iOS 11.2.5 for iPhones and iPads, and tvOS 11.2.5 for the Apple TV.




As usual, the public betas are available to anyone in Apple's Beta Software Program. Users with the correct certificate can download the iOS update over-the-air, while the tvOS update requires that "Get Public Beta Updates" be toggled on under the Software Updates area of the Settings app's System menu.

No new features have been uncovered in either the new or previous betas, suggesting that Apple is concentrating exclusively on security and maintenance.

The first betas of iOS 11.2.5 and tvOS 11.2.5 were released just last week. Apple is also testing watchOS 4.2.2, but only with developers, given the potential for "bricking" an Apple Watch.

    Everything is getting worse suddenly.

    Some two days old pdf became unreadable. And also pngs or keynote file.

    It seems to be random. Photo library seems to be ok at the moment, but who knows... 

    What's happening Apple? 

    Every helps appreciated!

    Does that refer this comment? "rush"... Seems it does. Your comments should go through Beta seemingly just like Apple is doing.

      Are you talking about beta, if so I'm not sure wth you mean.
    They haven't release a new version of IOS in the last two days so maybe look into your own third party apps you installed.

    Well, yeah... but this is a beta, so you can't accuse them of rushing anything out yet.  What we should legitimately be complaining about is WHERE IS iMESSAGE TO iCLOUD which was promised for iOS 11 way back in June @ the WWDC?  2017 marks Apple's FAIL year for software reliability and feature fulfillment when promised.

    What is all this crap about rushing it out? The whole idea is that a Beta is for testing not that it is ready for Prime Time. The public beta program is a good way to test the product with all kinds off other software and extensions in all kinds of environments. It is a good way to get a much better (and wider) test spectrum to try to hit all the edge conditions with memory, broadband variations, and multiple configurations.

    BTW: Part of what you agree to with the public beta and developer releases is that you won't install it on a mission critical device (only on a back up phone). You are also warned to back up everything on your iPhone, iPad... etc. so that you can wipe it and restore if something really goes wrong (e.g., a bricked device). I have yet to hear of any bugs that bricked a phone/pad because of installing a beta (I am sure it does happen but probably attributable to pilot error).

    Finally, make damn sure you write up a Bug Report and submit it so it can be corrected for Golden Master candidate.
