XMAS HELP>> Need Mac-Compatible Musical Keyboards!
My Dad is 73 and wants a musical keyboard so he can "learn to play". Now I know that he's going to fiddle around with it for two weeks then put it in his closet, so I'm not wanting to spend gobs of money....but are there any keyboards that are under $300 and Mac compatible?
I just checked the Casio site and it looks like their stuff isn't Mac compatible.
So.....like.....HELP!

As for adapters, I've heard great things about <a href="http://www.edirol.com/products/index.html" target="_blank">Edirol's UM-1 USB MIDI Adapter</a> for US$49. I've thought about getting it myself so I can move digital with my own music.
For software, <a href="http://www.intuem.com/main.html" target="_blank">Intuem</a> is a good app at only US$79.
Of course, both are Mac OS X compatible.
Though, if he's just going to fiddle with it to learn to play for a couple weeks, why bother going to the expense of getting it to work with his computer? Just get him a good full-size keyboard and he should be fine.

Okay, which is better: Casio or Yamaha?

Evolution is supposed to be pretty good.......<a href="http://www.audiomidi.com/common/cfm/product.cfm?Product_ID=365" target="_blank">Evolution MK-249 USB</a>
Does anyone have any suggestions for places to buy keyboards?
I'm familiar with this one: <a href="http://www.musiciansfriend.com" target="_blank">http://www.musiciansfriend.com</A>
