I have a decal that is not sticky any more and I would like to glue it back down. What does one recommend for doing this? I am sure there is some special glue or something but I do not want to ruin the thing.
First off I wouldn't use glue either but if I had to I'd use one of those "Post-It Note" glue sticks. They turn anything into a post-it so that way at least it could be peeled off and it would do minimal damage if any to the finish.
Its not a Powerbook. This is on a Dell that I got refurbished for $300. My powerbook is just fine. It is a decal that labels the upper quick launch buttons and it is in a fit area for the sticker. I don't really just want to rip it off and I don't think I can get another one. I figured there has to be some way to make it sticky again without damaging the laptop.
Leave it to a PC maker to put a sticker where they could have easily engraved or printed the label... <img src="graemlins/oyvey.gif" border="0" alt="[No]" />
Hey it was basically free. I bought 3 of them at 350 each and then sold two of em. I sold the two for 1000 each so after the accessories I bought it came out about even or I made a little profit. I'd like to see anyone pass on a 2.2 ghz p4 laptop with a 15" screen for basically free. Lay off.

totally kidding. i use a pc for several hours a day. they're fine. where did you find it so cheap? sounds like a nice laptop, but you have to expect some guff from a bunch of mac geeks
No I understand but I really would still like to know what would be good to get that sticker to stick. I found it on Dell's refurbished site actually. I'm not sure why they were giving them away for so cheap but they were and I found em.

i think the underlying response as how you can get the sticker to stick is "i (we) don't know"
Yeah I noticed that. I was hoping if this stayed on top someone new would see it and have an answer though. I especially have liked the suggestion to glue the outside of the screen and then go to sleep. Thanks for all the help.
